Personal Data Statement ("Statement") for Serta® Hong Kong ("Company") Customers
In accordance with Section 486 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (the "Ordinance") and applicable data protection laws, this statement is intended to inform customers about the collection, use, retention, disclosure, transfer, confidentiality and access by the Company and Policy and implementation of customer information held by shopping networks managed and/or operated by the Company. References in this Statement to "we", "us" or "our" should be construed to refer collectively or individually to such properties or entities, depending on the context.
1. Categories of Personal Data Collected.
You may be required to provide your personal information from time to time, including but not limited to your name, gender, age, identity document number, date of birth, telephone number, fax number, residential address, email address, credit card information, education level, occupation, family Income, interests and favorite activities, etc. If you refuse to provide relevant information and/or provide incomplete or incorrect information, the Company may not be able to provide you with certain services. If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain the consent of your parent or guardian before providing any personal information to the Company.
2. The purposes for which we will collect and use your personal information.
If you wish to receive certain services provided by us, certain personal information must be provided. Such information will be marked as "Required Information" in the online user application form. If you want us to provide you with the services you have applied for, you must provide us with this personal information. If certain personal data is provided only on a voluntary basis, the data will not be marked as "Required" and you can decide whether to provide us with the data.
If you want us to provide any of the following services, you must provide us with your personal information:
- To participate and maintain your status as our online user;
- To notify you of benefits and offers available to you as a user of our online services;
- Enjoy the benefits of being an online user;
- Notify relevant online users of any revisions;
- Data cleaning and updating of customer information; and
Other ongoing customer support services for online users.
3. When making a purchase, reservation or communicating with us through this website or in accordance with applicable legal requirements, the customer must confirm that he or she accepts and/or agrees to the terms of this statement.
Customers' use or access to this website is deemed to have agreed/accepted the terms of this statement.
If the customer provides personal data of a third party (such as the names and contact details of the customer's family or friends to make a reservation), the customer is aware and confirms that he or she has obtained the consent of the relevant third party to provide us with their personal data.
4. We collect the following categories of personal data from our customers for the purposes described in paragraph 5 below:
・Full name and contact information;
・Credit card and other payment details;
・Customer arrival/departure information; and
・Any other information the customer chooses to provide to us.
5. The Client agrees that any personal data about the Client or other parties ("Personal Data") provided to us by the Client may be disclosed and transferred to the following locations for the purposes set out in paragraph 6 or shall be known to: The data subject uses, processes, retains or transfers such personal data:
・Our corporate office in Hong Kong and the goods that customers have reserved or purchased;
・Any of our agents, contractors, credit providers, financial institutions, service providers or professional advisers or any other person who has a duty of confidentiality to us;
・Any of our holding companies, their subsidiaries and any companies with direct interests therein;
・Any of our actual or proposed transferees or transferees; and any other party with the consent or instruction of the Client.
6. The customer acknowledges and agrees that his/her personal data is provided to us and retained, retained or transferred by us for the following purposes as agreed between the customer and us or as required by law from time to time:
- Give us a clearer understanding of our customers’ demographics;
- Conduct internal research and analysis to enable us to properly provide rewards, service and product information or gifts that meet your specific needs;
- market research;
- Send customer communications and customer activity updates;
- Deliver remarketing ads;
- Provide any goods and/or services to customers (including product reservations and arranging delivery, membership-related services and responding to information or service inquiries and requests);

- To fulfill, prepare and execute any agreement entered into between the customer and us;
- Matters related to the merger, sale, financing or acquisition of our company by/by other companies;
- make disclosures in compliance with any legal requirements; and
- Any other purpose related to the above.
7. We intend to use our customers' personal data (including their names and contact details) for the direct marketing of news, offers, services, promotions, events and other information relevant to our campsite business.
We will not use customers' personal data without authorization unless we obtain the customer's consent or the customer expresses no objection to our use of their data. We will always obtain the customer's consent or the customer has indicated that they have no objection to the use of their data before using their data for direct marketing activities. Customers may opt out of receiving direct marketing materials from us by following the instructions in the relevant communications or by contacting us directly at info@serta.com.hk .
8. Subject to applicable data protection laws, the customer has the right to:
・Check whether we hold any personal data related to customers;
・Access the personal data we hold about the customer;
・Request us to correct any inaccurate personal data;
・Determine (from time to time) our policies and practices regarding personal data and inform us of the categories of personal data we hold;
・Withdraw consent to the processing of his/her personal data;
・Delete his/her personal information;
・Restriction of data processing;
・Object to data analysis;
・Carry personal information; and
・File a complaint to the regulatory agency (if applicable).
The personal information you provide to the Company will be safely stored in the Company's customer service system and can only be accessed by authorized personnel.
9. Under the Ordinance, we are entitled to charge a reasonable fee for processing any data access request.
Any request for use of personal data, correction of personal data or information regarding our relevant policies and practices in relation to the data held and categories of personal data, or regarding the customer's rights set out in paragraph 7 above, should be made in writing, as per Proceed as follows:

10. We will only retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with our legal, accounting or compliance-related requirements.
We will assess the extent, nature, implications and potential risks of unauthorized use or disclosure of personal data to determine the appropriate data retention period based on the purposes for which the personal data is collected/processed and applicable legal requirements.
11. Cookies
・If you leave a comment on our site you can choose to have your name, email address and website saved in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
・If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
・When you log in, we will also set multiple cookies to save your login information and screen display options. The login cookie lasts two days and the screen options cookie lasts one year.
